VR Oil Tank - 3000gal - Standard Gauge
The VR Oil Tank wagons were one of the more diverse class of wagon owned by the VR. Nearly every number was different, although there are small 'groups' of similar wagons. They ranged in number from 1-83, with new ones built after this main group having numbers within the bogie tank wagon number set.
This model represents numbers 26, 28, 30, and 31, built by the VR for the commonwealth oil refinery in 1925/1926, in a generic black livery with standard gauge brakes and wheel sets.
