VR WT (DW) water tank - BG

VR WT water tank (Domestic) - Broad Gauge
Constructed between 1897-1902/1912-1915 the WT water tank wagons were used all over the VR system to transport water for both locomotives (as a water gin) and for domestic use. They were generally used in areas with no permanent water supply. The letters DW applied to the wagon indicated it was for 'Domestic Water' meaning it was drinkable, those without could be used in normal service, where they were often used for replenishing steam locomotive tanks.
This model represents the VR WT wagon, numbers 2-60 & 101-205 with the 'DW' lettering (domestic water). This model has broad gauge wheel sets applied, and uses the superscript to control automatic numbering and ground shadows. This also has an animated water load and filler hatch cover.
