Commonwealth Railways 44 foot flatcar - NRG.(Ng13mflat)
In 1951 the Commonwealth Railways purchased 240 open wagons in the KDC from Metropolitan Cammell in the UK. These wagons were assembled and placed into service on the Trans and Leigh Creek lines between 1952 and 1955. Six of these wagons were converted to narrow, 3-6 gauge, and given road numbers 1446-1447-1463-1464-1465-1567 for use on the line from Maree to Alice Springs.
