The Loops

Norfolk Southern's appalachian crossing from Old Fort, NC to Black Mountain, NC in the heart of the Great Smokies, set in the late fall of the year and done from DEM's and USGS maps. The route was originally part of the Southern Railroad. The route was described in some detail in a September 2006 issue of Trains magazine. Many thanks to all the creators who make these routes possible. Recommended for higher end computers as it is quite detailed.
