Dropcentre Tramcar 285

A total of 191 Drop Centre type tramcars were built by the Brisbane City Council and several coachbuilding contractors between 1925 and 1938.
No 285 was built by Foote coachbuilders in 1930. Cars built prior to 1928 had open end platforms but were equipped with windscreens later during major overhauls.
Drop Centre Trams built prior to 1935 were hand-brake operated and were equipped with 4ft 6in diamond frame trucks.
