In 1967, Great Northern presented the ¨Big Sky Blue¨paint scheme as a modern replacement of the Omaha orange and Pullman green, but the paint scheme only lasted 3 years when in 1970 the BN merger, but before the merger GN made some trains full Big Sky Blue like the Empire Builder
