30' Virginia & Truckee Wooden flat car
15,500 pounds unloaded; 12 ton capacity
Link and pin couplers; hand brakes only
supports cordwood, 16' logs, lumber, and misc goods.
Supports MLOG and ProtoLARS
Uses ARN automatic car numbering script by Wulf
Based on plans by Michael Collins
Prototype was one of 11 flats rebuilt in 1891 out of old flatcar parts, and was finally sold to the movie studios in 1938. It has since been restored, and is on display at the Nevada State Railroad Museum.
