Multi-Path Control-v3
This rule provides a tool to define and control the route of a selected train. The route is defined by successive paths. Each path is defined by a collection of track pieces and junctions connecting the track pieces. In this rule, permits to control these junctions and track pieces are automatically requested as the train enters a path using triggers. For each path, once permits are granted, all junctions are locked and tracks are reserved for train to pass. Place the triggers in advance to allow enough time and distance for train to adjust its speed depending on the availibility of the path. The path controlling event begins as soon as the train enters the trigger placed in advance of the path and ends when the train enters or leaves the ending trigger placed somewhere behind the path. Hence, it is possible that begining and ending triggers of successive paths overlap. No worries, As soon as a path is triggered by the train, the rule starts monitoring the begining trigger of the next path, and so on. The only requirement is to place the begining triggers in the order they appear along train's entire route. Same begining trigger may be used for consecutive paths to start some or all of the path controlling events simultaneously. The rule continues until all triggers are visited by the train. Furthermore, multiple of this rule can be defined within ORDERED and/or SIMULTANEOUS LISTS if desired. Although this rule is particularly designed to clear the way for player trains, it can as well be used for trains runing in autopilot driving mode. E-mail me if you have any questions or find bugs.
