Lokomotiva E 436.004 byla vyrobena v CKD v roce 1928 pod vyrobnim cislem 1080. Je to stejnosmerna lokomotiva pro napeti 1500 V.
Na svou dobu to byly velke lokomotivy, byly urceny pro pretahy osobnich i nakladnich vlaku po prazskem uzlu, a to az do 15.kvetna 1962, kdy bylo prepojeno trakcni napajeni na 3000 V. Lokomotivy E 436.002 a E436.004 presly do provozu na trati Tabor - Bechyne. Po ukonceni provozu (v roce 1972) byla lokomotiva E436.004 predana do majetku NTM, do roku 2006 byla v provozu pri nostalgickych jizdach na Bechynce, dnes je v depozitari v Chomutove.
