MULTIPLAYER - Lionel Lines Appalachian Division

A multiplayer session for the Lionel Lines Appalachian Division layout.

RECOMMENDED SESSION RULES:

There are four main jobs:

Passenger – Runs continuously or at regular intervals around the mainline. Has priority over other trains. If not running, park it in the yard.

Coal – Runs between Youngstown Mine and Kughn Power Plant, either continuously or at regular intervals. If not running, park it in the yard.

Lumber – Runs from the yard to the Kughn Lumber Mill, delivering logs and returning with lumber. May operate as separate log and lumber runs, or as a combined turn. The locomotive may be turned on the turntable after returning to the yard, if desired.

Yard – Loads logs and unloads lumber for the Lumber job. Acts as Yardmaster and may assign extra cars to freight jobs. May not assign freight to the passenger train.

EXTRA CARS:

Extra freight cars are available in the yard. The Yardmaster may instruct freight crews to deliver boxcars to:

Youngstown Mine Supply
Hitchcock Freight House
Ogden Feed
Kughn Sawmill Supply

Two hoppers under the yard's coal tower are available to refill it.

The Yardmaster may also assign crews to retrieve previously dropped-off cars and return them to the yard.

LOCOMOTIVES:
Players may use any locomotive for any job, but not all locomotives are practical for every task.

NOTES:
All trains run right-handed on the double-track mainline.
Trains always turn at their destinations.
These rules are only recommendations, feel free to run the session however you wish.
Creating extra jobs or adding more trains may be done at the players' discretion.
The session allows up to 6 players, with players being allowed to control up to 2 drivers.
