This is my first layout. These were the Townsville shuntyards of the mid 1970s to mid 1980s as I remember them. There were 3 yards and a rotating shift in all 3. The South Yard was the main Shunt Yard for Marshalling with 2 engines working.One on the Town End and one on the Jetty end.There was also a Shops Shunt there.The workshop sheds are not exactly what they used to look like but serve the purpose.
The North Yard or Station was where fruit trains and Northern Trains were marshalled.And of course this
