arn NZ bird Pukeko squawk
The Pukeko is a native bird of New Zealand. Their habitat is around waterways, swamps but do explore farm paddocks and road sides for food. They have absolutely no road sense and are frequently hit by vehicles. The Pukeko eat grass, clover, berries aqua plants, seeds, young birds, ducklings, eggs, insects and eels. The birds can fly and are also very fast at running.
