PKP Pm 1G St.Przemysl

The 1G type was a first polish postwar express postal coach design. PaFaWag Wroclaw ceated 43 units of this type for post office service in domestic and international service. The cars could be seen almost with any express or fast train around Poland. Although they were designed for express service, one could often see them with local trains, especially with the begining of the 1970s when the new 101C class was introduced. The 1G type remains a symbol of good times when the postal usage of rail service was normal. All cars were retired before 1980. The new 101C type however did not help the pos office to retire from rail service. In 2007 the last postal cars were taken out of passenger trains.
