PKP Bou YB St.Gdynia

50 coaches of YB family were built in Gorlitz factory and delivered to PKP by the end of 1978. They were equipped with air-based heating systems together with older steam heating. In the 1990s some coaches lost their air-heating having electric heating installed instead. They are recognizeable amongst other YB coaches owned by PKP with a large group of vents on the roof - very untypical for German-originating coaches. Only few of these exist, they also lack the air-vent grill on the corridor side. This one was photographed in Jelenia Gora, summer 2009.
