VR 53ft BG Turntable without Pit

This is a typical VR 53 ft, turntable without the usual fully surrounding pit. Such turntables were provided at country location where a turntable was needed for operational purposes but where there was no 'designated' Locomotive Depot. Each 'turntable road' is available for use and the track on the turntable is laid to Broad (5 ft 3 in) Gauge.
