Victorian Railways Interlocked 5 Track Gate Crossing that was located at Geelong Railway Station on Gordon Avenue was built in 1874 when the line was extended to Winchelsea and the gates lasted until 1912 when a road underpass was built from 1913, the 6th track wasn't protected by the gates as it was only a Locomotive bypass road to the roundhouse when Up Spencer St or Ballarat trains would need turning for the return trip.
