Paquebot Transatlantique NORMANDIE
Paquebot Transatlantique NORMANDIE.
The greatest ocean liner of all! She was built in 1935 and was 1029ft long and 79,280 gross tons large. She was built as the flagship of France and to rival the Queen Mary. She had the most beautiful exterior and the most luxurious interior of any ship. She caught fire and capsized while being converted to a troopship in 1942 and was scrapped in 1946. She still holds many records such as the first ship to exceed 60,000 as well as 70,000 and 80,000 tons. The first ship to make an atlantic crossing at over 30 knots and the most powerful turbo-electric propelled ship ever built.
Another model created in Google SketchUp and exported to Trainz with RubyTMIX.
