BDS Shoo-Fly N-S

A 'Shoo-Fly' in American railroading slang is a temporary detour around an obstacle, washout, construction, or other reason to tear up a section of track.

This is a one-board 'route' that contains a single shoo-fly with a work track cut into the main line to hold cars with building masterials.

In this case, the shoo-fly was built to accomodate the contsruction of a new bridge to replace the old truss bridge. You can see the debris left by the old bridge off to the side.

The owners of the local McDonalds and the BP gas station are no doubt overjoyed at the increase in business. The farmer's are probably not so happy.

This route is oriented North and South. If I get enough requests, I can whip up an East-West version.
