Low Poly Model of the original Wembley Stadium, not intended to be a wholly accurate model, more an interpretation of the original which, was completed in 1923, for the British Empire Exhibition in 1924-25, on the site of the Watkins Tower Folly, aka britains attempt to build a bigger, Eiffel Tower of which only the base was built. The stadium was to be demolished at the end of the exhibition, however was saved due to the efforts of Sir James Stevenson.

In 1925 after the exhibition, Arthur Elvin purchased the site, demolished most of the buildings, aside from the stadium. Since then Wembley Stadium is best known for it's annual hosting of the FA cup, however it's known for other sports as well, such as rugby, greyhound racing and speedway, as well as playing host to the 1948 olympics. It has also been a music venue for the likes of Michael Jackson, Elton John and The Who. The stadium was closed on the 7th October 2000 and demolished between 2002 and 2003, to make way for it's bigger replacement stadium, not opened until 2007.

The model represents its post 1963 condition in which an encircling roof was added.
