SAR Stone Cottages - DR269/27042 Workmans Cottages (Single)

A common style of workmans cottages built by South Australian Railways for broad gauge, Peterboorugh and South East narrow gauge systems, providing accomodaytion for maintenance workers and their families. These buildings are early examples of reinforced cinder concrete construciton. Two forms of this structure where built eitehr as a singel or duplex dwelling.
