Highland Drummond 'Barney' LMS Black Weathered

The Highland Railway K class was the only class of 0-6-0 tender locomotives built for the Highland Railway.
Designed by Peter Drummond, they were introduced in 1900 as a replacement for older 2-4-0 goods engines and became affectionately known as 'Barneys'. Altogether twelve were built between 1900 and 1907.
At the Grouping of the railways into the 'Big Four' in the early 1920s, they all passed into LMS ownership with a classification of 3F, and seven survived into the early days of British Railways, albeit after rebuilding by the LMS which altered their appearance.
The last was withdrawn in 1952.
Pre-rebuild LMS Black version with weathering.
Thanks to Paul Hobbs and Trainboi1 for their mesh library elements, many of which have been used in the model.
