BR 16T Mineral Wagon Unfitted (dia. 1/108) Indeterminate Grey Heavily Rusted and Weathered

The 16T Mineral Wagon was the most numerous of all the British Railways standard wagons, and the class designated diag. 1/108 the largest of all, running to around a quarter of a million vehicles.

Hard to imagine now, but they were ubiquitous, and apart from passenger-only lines would have been seen almost everywhere on the network on a daily basis. Many of them went their whole lives without a repaint, and the rough and tumble of their daily business left them looking decidely the worse for wear - as here, where the rust and grime have made it impossible to discern which of the three original freight greys were originally carried..
