While most of the WHR stations from Bridge of Orchy southwards were recognisably based on the same pattern, not only so far as the buildings and island platforms were concerned, but also access, which (except in the rare cases where there was an adjacent overbridge) was from an underpass.
Although the station at Rannoch is below road level, there's no road overbridge - indeed no official road beyond it, so access was (and is again, after a brief gap) by means of the footbridge, the present one having been moved from Corrour when it was altered to level crossing access.
The Waiting Shelter is also a later addition but a recognisable pastiche of standard WHR architecture, and offers some protection from the elements for those waiting to be picked up by road.
