The majority of what we still call 'cobbled' streets are actually made from granite setts rather than rounded river cobbles, as in this version, based on a texture from the Wellgate, a street which crosses the ECML at a level crossing just north of Arbroath station, and has a very useful parallel passenger footbridge facilitating aerial pictures of its surface.
