SCSK PIT MUE

Scottish Country Station Kit Pitlochry Main Unit East

This set of modules can be used to make a slightly simplified version of the main station building at Pitlochry (on the Highland Line between Perth and Inverness) or selected and combined to make a freelance building of your own (the parts could make a village school as well as a station).

The backbone of the station is a long main unit, which I've split into two for the model. This is the East half, which abuts the Waiting Room Wing Wing at ninety degrees, but is set back from it slightly on the north/rear side. If you are building a station on my dedicated platform spline, then you'll need to raise it by one whole unit in game. You can find pictures and information on how the units fit together in my 'Buildingz frae Scotland' thread in the 'Freeware Announcements' sub-section of the 'Workshops - Your Creations' area of the Trainz Discussion Forums.

Please note that the asset may need turning to match the other items, as its lighting and shadow state have been preset by my choice of the Pevsoft exporter, which behaves slightly differently to the inbuilt Trainz Asset Creation Suite version. I've chosen it, together with the Images2TGA programme, because it allows me to use normal mapping with Gmax, a definite advantage in representing stone and tile textures, so the directional straitjacket is but a small price to pay for the added character.

Many thanks once again to Peter Villaume for his continued work and help.
