Gatekeeper's cottage 01

A gatekeeper's cottage based on one on the LTSR made of overlapping wooden weatherboard. This is the colour scheme in use in 1956, but it is believed that black paint was used previously on doors and window frames. Similar cottages with rendered walls were built in East Anglia (see KUID 275817:28007).
The building should be placed with the long side parallel to the tracks and the gable end with door facing the roadway.
