Cambridge to Huntingdon UK

A modern UK electrified metro/semi-urban/rural route from Trumpington (just south of Cambridge), through Cambridge, then branching off the mainline to St Ives and Huntingdon. Based on the real disused route, with some artistic and practical liberties, and simplification. The real route is now a guided-busway between Cambridge and St Ives. Originally the line joined with the ECML at Huntingdon.

The track layout around Cambridge is not wholly prototypical, because I designed the 'new' island platform before it was built in real life. The original crossover and long Platform 1/4 are still there, but I've made them down lines, with the new island as the up lines. In reality, all platforms are bi-directional.

This layout was also created before 'Cambridge North' station became a reality in May 2017.

I've not filled the baseboards with much scenery and buildings, in order to keep it simple. There are parts of the route which are in some ways unfinished, but I hope the odd mistake or scenic gap won't spoil your enjoyment. The route uses various junction controllers and triggers which may cause a few bugs with AI and auto route setting.

This version is modified for T:ANE but does not use procedural track as too many items to replace. Feel free to extend or adapt as you wish, but please do not re-distribute. I am working on a brand-new T:ANE edition with entirely prototypical track layout, but no timescale for completion. Contact me via the forum if necessary.
