EJ&E GP38-2 (#703)

Paintshed skin of EJ&E #703.

Elgin Joliet and Eastern #703 is an EMD GP38-2 built in December of 1972 for the EJ&E. In March of 1985, this engine was leased to the Birmingham Southern railroad (Another railroad owned by the EJ&E's parent company Transtar), and two years later, it was sold. In 1996, the engine was returned to the EJ&E, and now works the 'Waukegan Local' train between Waukegan and Lake Zurich, Illinois.
