QR 1170 class #1172

the 1150s were delivered in 1952 from the United States by the GM company. Originally classed as the 1210 class, 13 of the class were contsructed with the final 3 made by Goninan at Broadmeadow in NSW. In their lifetime, they had three class changes, 1210, 1300 and finally the 1150 class. Today, all are long gone and most have been disposed of. However a couple have been kept for preservation.
