QR NG ABG Insulated Wagon

A Queensland Railway's grovers bogie insulated covered goods wagon of wood construction dating from 1890 until 1923. These were made by various makers from Railway Workshops, Ipswich; Toowoomba Foundry; Shilito & Sons, Ipswich. These wagons were insultated on the inside and were lined with bags of ice to keep milk, cream and butter fresh and temperated from the harsh Queensland elements.
