LMS P2 57' F (Simply lined) weathered

The LMS built non-corridor carriages in great quantities and throughout all three of the company's design periods up until 1951. The model represented here is a period two carriage from circa 1930 with the steel panelling and lack of external beading differenciating it from the earlier period 1 stock. It is painted here in the simplified lined livery. The seating capacity of these First class carriages was 64 passengers with each compartment seating 4 on each side. Whilst the LMS didn't actually build any of the First class carriages during this second period (although the very similar period 3 cariages were built) it is included here to complete the set
