BR Class 30 Mirrlees JVS12T 1250hp Enginespec

Enginespec for Mirrlees JVS12T engine as fitted to British Railways class 30 locomotives D5500-D5519 built from 1957. Power 1250hp, TE 42000 lbf, maximum speed 75mph.

These locomotives were re-engined betweeen 1964-1967 with English Electric 12SVT engines of 1470hp to become the familiar BR class 31 locomotives. The correct loco mass for use with this espec is 106020 kgs.

Notes for CAB driving - It is recommended that this enginespec is used in conjunction with my MK1 coach and wagon enginespecs for best performance.
