Water tanks and purifier, Murrurundi loco depot, NSWGR
The higher 20000g water tank at Hawkesbury River was supplied by gravity from a 40000g tank at the west end of the depot that sourced water from high dams on the Pages River.
Water in the higher tank was cycled through a water purifier installed in a shed on an adjacent elevated platform.
The lower 20000g tank was gravity fed from the higher tank.
