PRR R50b Express Reefer Postwar Scheme

PRR R50B express refrigerator was built by four builders each with variations on the inside. First series 2551-2750 made by American Car and Foundry had collapsible ice bunkers and wood floor racks. Second series 2826-3025 made by Pressed Steel Car Company and had fixed bulkheads and no floor racks. Pullman Car and Manufacturing Corporation made series 2751-2775 with fixed bulkheads and floor racks and series 3026-3100 had fixed bulkheads no floor racks butdouble tiering for milk cans. Series 2776-2825 made by General American Car Company had fixed bulkheads and floor racks. The cars floors had a 1 inch peak in the middle for cleaning.
car was 52' long and weignt of 95,000LBS capacity 40,000LBS.
At some time the cars got updated from two end ladder and low brake wheel to four end ladders and high brake wheel, this is the high one and has American Railway Express.
