NBR Class D (J83) 0-6-0T

The North British Railway class D 0-6-0Ts were designed by Matthew Holmes in 1900. They became LNER class J83 and were subsequently rebuilt at Cowlairs. Later entries in the class were given westinghouse brakes and many of these examples became pilots at Edinburgh Waverly. The class was gone by 1962.
