LMR WD 2-10-0 (Gordon, Kitchener)

The WD 2-10-0 was an enlarged development of the WD 2-8-0 and intended for use overseas. Two of the engines ran on the Longmoor Military Railway, no. 600 Gordon and 601 Kitchener. Gordon was preserved and has lived on the Severn Valley Railway for many years, although it continued to be owned by the Ministry of Defense until 2008. An unrelated member of the class, originally from Greece, was named Sturdee in preservation and erroneously numbered 601.
