VR U Van 15ft WB - Dirty - Disc

The Barframe bogie was built by the American Car & Foundry company in the U.S.A. and assembled at Newport workshops to be used on heavier goods stock and also replace the Diamond Frame type bogie which was limited to 25tons and could also reach speeds of 45mph.

This bogie was also used on other stock later in the years, it is painted in the modern Wagon Red, has 10 spokes, wheel diameter of 3ft0 1/4in and a wheelbase of 5ft9in and 4 coil springs on each side with plain bearings.
