VR U Van T7b - 1955+

The Victorian Railways Type 7 Louvre Van was built between 1938 to 1952 at Bendigo Workshops and Newport Workshops, a total of 250 where built and numbered 1217 to 1466, they had auto couplers with a 3 link over knuckle and buffers, number 1366 was scrapped May 1959.

During the early to mid 1950's stock where having there buffers and 3 links removed when all stock where being converted to auto couplers, this model represent the Vans in the more modern wagon red and in Metric weights, these wagons lasted into the late 1980's, scrapping of these wagons begun early 1980's till early 1990's, some are preserved all around Victoria.
