VL VOVX T1a - 1983+

In 1982/1983, seven VOCX and one VOCY wagons numbered 24, 258, 1010, 1027, 1056, 1058, 1064 and 1069 were modified for the carriage of steel coil rolls and coded VOVX 1 to 8, they where dedicated to the Long Island Melbourne to Port Adelaide Line. The steel coil rolls were transported vertically instead of by cradle like the VOSX. They run empty from Adelaide and loaded from Melbourne, during 1987 they where recoded VCVX.

This model represents the Type 1 VOCX numbered 24 and recoded to VOVX 1 from February 1983 on Broad Gauge, Step's created by Zec.
