VR S Flat T1b - 1925+

The first S Wagons 1 & 2 were built by the American Car & Foundry company in the U.S.A. and assembled at Newport workshops in 1925. The rest of the class were converted from E wagons for wartime traffic between 1940 and 1942. From 1947 to 1949 many S's were converted back to E wagons. By the late 70's only about 6 S's remained, 1, 2, 50, 77, 108 and 115. S 1 and 115 got 20' container brackets late in life.

This model represent S 2 from 1925 in a Clean As built Condition.
