VR VHX T1a - 1971+

In 1963 the Victorian Railways built some large Louvre Van's as Prototypes for a new design of high capacity Van and where classified as VHX with a total of 10 built at Newport workshops, in 1964-65 another 10 where built at Newport Workshops, these Vans where bogie exchanged between Standard Gauge and Broad Gauge frequantly so they didn't need to unload the contents to another wagon. They carried General Goods in crates and Pallets and where seen all over Victoria with few going into New South Wales and South Australia.

This model represents the Type 1 repainted from 1971 and numbered 1 to 9 on Broad Gauge, Steps created by Zec.
