VR ESX t2c 1975+

The Victorian Railways ESX Wagons where built at Ballarrat Workshops from July 1964 to July 1965 and Newport Workshops from April to August 1965, a total of 26 where built, these wagons where built for bogie exchange Steel traffic between Vic, NSW, SA and WA, this rarely happened and instead these wagons mostly stayed on the Broad Gauge and would get loads swapped between other wagons. they where put into Pipe and Swan Timber traffic and where thrown all over Victoria. In 1971 they where modified with longer draw gear and coupler shanks, ESX 15 had C channels welded on the tops to extend the height of the Stanchions for Pipe traffic, going into 1977/78 they where put into Scantling Timber and Pole traffic between Dandenong, Westall and Alumatta, from 1979/80 they where put into Steel Slab Traffic between Albury and Long Island, this wagons was recoded VODX in 1980.
