ATSF 50' Boxcar Bx-191 (1983)

Original asset originally created by Dave Snow. Represents ATSF Class Bx-191, a small group of 14 boxcars that were rebuilt at the Santa Fe's Topeka, Kansas shops in March 1979 from retired class Fe-35 furniture box cars. As rebuilt, they featured new plate E, 7-panel, exterior-post car sides, 16' opening, and 5258 cubic foot capacity. They retained their original Shock Control underframe, diagonal-panel roof and 4/4 Improved Dreadnaught ends with flat extensions at the top. They were used in auto parts service, so a variety of loaders were applied to the cars on an individual basis. 1983-1984 livery.
