Barclay D2400 Class Diesel BR Green

Ten of these 204hp unclassed shunters were built by Andrew Barclay in Kilmarnock in 1956, specifically for areas where the curves were too tight for the normal 04 locos. The resulting loco was the largest 204hp shunter by far, just a few inches short of the length of an 08. They were all withdrawn as non-standard in 1969, none are preserved.
