ATSF 3460 Blue Goose 4-6-4

Leader of a class of six Hudsons built by the Baldwin Locomotive Company for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, 3460 was enshrouded in streamlining that earned her the nickname 'Blue Goose' and was sometimes used on the transcontinential train, the 'Scout.' She was built in 1937 and was the only streamlined steam locomotive owned by the Santa Fe, and was popular with railfans and employees alike. The 3460 class 4-6-4s served until the end of the transition era in the 1950s, with 3463 surviving the cutter's torch.
