Arrington Subdivision

The Arrington Subdivision is located in the southeastern part of the state Irvin. The line was originaly built in the early 1880s and completed in the late 1880s. In the 1890s the route was modified to accomodate the increasing freight traffic and passenger service that was inaguarated in 1900. Over the next several decades the line would be the heart and soul of the St. James & Midwestern. However the line would have passenger service discontinued in 1970 and over the course of the decade the route saw a decline of freight traffic with the SJMW deciding to shift traffic over to other lines to adapt to the changing traffic patterns. In the 1980s the line was neglected and recieved very little maintanence and the route was nearly abandoned until the railroad decided to keep it running but was used very seldomly as the railroad was broke and buried in massive debt and the line wouldn't be remodeled until the SJMW declared bankruptcy and became liquidated and given to the Javarrington Pacific(JP) in 1994. The JP made some upgrades and improvements over the line in the mid and late 1990s but were a declining railroad themselves and in 2002 merged with the Eastmont Northern who would finish making all the major but necessary upgrades and repairs and finished it by 2006 when they felt the line was fit to run 24 trains a day over the line and it has stayed the same since.
