Motala workshop produced in 1930, two pieces of H3 type locos for the Kalmar lines, Kalmar Railways no 17(later SJ A5 1545) and Sävsjö Nassjo Railway no 107 (later SJ A5 1546). They came to work mostly on these lines during their active time and amongst others pulled expresstrain Ölänningen between Kalmar and Nässjö. In the 1960s, the locomotives could also be seen among others in Dalarna. The locomotives were abolished in 1970 whereby A5 1545 was preserved and can now be studied in Nassjo Railway Museum.
Maximum speed was set to 90 km/h and traction to 7.5 Mp.

Motala verkstad tillverkade år 1930 2 stycken H3 åt kalmarbanorna, KalmarJärnvägar 17 (senare SJ A5 1545) och SävsjöNässjöJärnväg 107(senare SJ A5 1546). De kom att verka mestadels på dessa banor under sin aktiva tid och drog då bl.a Ölänningen, snälltåget mellan Kalmar-Nässjö. Under 1960-talet kunde loken även ses i bl.a Dalarna. Loken slopades 1970 varvid A5 1545 bevarades och kan numera studeras på Nässjö Järnvägsmuseum. Största tillåtna hastighet sattes till 90 km/t och dragkraften till 7,5 Mp.
