A total of 47 pieces of L locomotives were built in 1904-1908 and was designed primarily for passenger train in northern Sweden.
During the 1940s and 1950s, they could also be seen in the south of Sweden. Some locomotives were fitted with smoke deflectors and equipped for wood burning.
Maximum speed was 80 km/h.
All locomotives L are scrapped.

Sammanlagt 47 stycken L lok byggdes under 1904-1908 och var främst avsedda för persontågstrafik i norra Sverige.
Under 1940 och 1950 talet kunde de även ses i södra Sverige. Några lok försågs med rökskärmar och utrustades för vedeldning.
Största tillåtna hastighet sattes till 80 km/t.
Samtliga L lok är skrotade.
