L&N Modernized Coach 2558

Created by the American Locomotive & Car Company
Reskin of Magicland's Pennsylvania Railroad D70a Heavyweight Diner. Coach 2558 represents one of the fourteen
combines L&N rebuilt as modernized coaches in 1946. These fourteen cars,numbers 2550 to 2563,
were the first cars to wear the blue and gold paint. L&N specifications called for a gold stripe
under the letterboard and one between the 2 rows of rivets along the bottom of the car. It's
never been determined why this group of 14 cars had the extra stripe under the windows.
