SD40-2 Boston & Albany

Conrail SD40-2 relettered for the former Boston & Albany, a NYC subsidiary that officially ceased to exist in the early 1960's. Conrail bought 167 SD40-2's between 1977 and 1979, numbered 6358-6524. All had the older style Flexicoil truck rather than the 'dash 2' HTC truck. The HTC truck had been falsely blamed for two derailments involving brand-new Amtrak SDP40F's, and so Conrail avoided the truck design entirely. Model was created by Prjindigo, Roger Crouch and the reskin by Adam Gase.
